Today, Muriel was playing songs from her laptop, while they were busy baking the cake, and the song 'Somewhere Only We Know' played. I then remembered how Keane was one of my favourites a few years back.

I remember back in JC 2 when I used to play my Keane 'Hopes and Fears' CD on repeat. It was on repeat until I memorised even the sequence of the songs (like I will know the intro of the next song even before it starts - yeah, geeky I know. And that still happens to me with my mp3 now. LOL.)! I would even play it before I sleep (so the songs will be playing even when I'm asleep) and there was a time I dreamt of one of the songs and woke up realising that the song was playing. =X

And I would be listening to the songs on repeat while preparing for the A Levels. Oh man, those were the times. Haha. But seriously, that particular Keane's album was good. Not so sure about their latest ones though. Although the songs in the album sound the same, I thought it's quite good. Hee.

Brings back memories. (And Shin was commenting on how I remember parts of my life through songs. How apt. Haha!)

First of all, I want to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

It's already 2010! Oh man. Time flies.

Anyway, our traditional midnight feast for the New Year was held just now. Haha. Went to church for mass first then headed home to eat and celebrate!

When my siblings and I were deciding on what to wear, we just thought of wearing all the same colour. They said purple or violet's lucky so we all decided on that. Haha! Not sure if it really is a lucky colour for this year. =S

My secondary school batchmates and I had a short weekend getaway/gathering. It was at Kate's vacation house at Punta Fuego, Nasugbu, Batangas. It's still within my province but it was like 2 hours or so away from my city. Haha.

Overall, it was awesome. It was really great catching up with them. We've really grown up. Anyway, let's go on with the photos. It's been a while since I've had a blog update with photos. Haha!

After we settled down, it was time to head to the beach! (Long Beach California? LOL)

The view was great. It was a good chatting session by the beach. Talked about life. The years that passed since high school. Where we are now. Plans. Time really passes by so swiftly.

That was before everyone got wasted. Haha. Wasak na wasak. LOL. It was the first time I actually blacked out (fell asleep because too drunk) and puked when I woke up in the morning. Too much tequila I guess. =S But it was one of the craziest drinking sessions ever, especially with them. It was really fun. Minus the hang over the next day. =X

The next day was Jet Ski-ing day! :)

After my turn. Haha! I didn't dare to drive it on my own though. My head was still spinning. It was such an experience. And they actually own the jetski! Wow right? Haha!

After lunch, we then started washing up and packing. We then headed home. The short weekend getaway was a blast.

I was watching a re-run of The Amazing Race Asia earlier today (You can see how bored I can get LOL) and they had a task of asking people to tell them a joke while they record the person doing so. They will then be given the next clue once the panel of 'judges' finds the joke funny.

There was one that I thought was quite funny.

I sometimes (or is it rather frequent? I don't know) have weird dreams. And one of those was last night's.

What I can remember was that I was doing a paper for Medicinal Chemistry! =.=''' I really saw our professor's trademark questions on prodrugs and drugs. And I was rushing because I was only left a few minutes and I have not answered the whole question. LOL. Why must I dream and get reminded of that horrible module. =S

Anyway, the holidays has been good so far. Now at home, I'm just slacking away and getting (even more) fat. =X I've been watching a lot of movies while lying down and eating, eating and eating. LOL. I haven't actually gone out yet but will do so later. Time to start meeting my friends up. Haha!

The two papers that are over were horrible. To say the least.

What's funny was that during the Pathology exam, I already stopped writing 5 minutes before the end of the paper. Not because I am confident of my answers and finished answering all the questions. But because I already gave up trying to crap with some answers. I already used up all the possible things I can use to smoke my way through.

Anyway, I started looking at my classmates who were still trying to attempt the paper. What's interesting was that I saw everyone's eyes. The eye bags. Horrible looking ones at that. Everyone's been studying real hard. Haha.

Ok. Random. I'm just trying to find ways and means to delay studying for Pharmacology. Raah.

It was a rather interesting read but I thought it was over analysed. I mean, yes, you may have a point but to go all out to try to decode the hidden meaning behind the song or the video? I think it's a wee bit too much. Sometimes you just have to take it as it is. The song and the video is awesome! Haha.

Finally managed to convince (or force) myself to post an entry and do some changes in the layout of my blog. Haha. It's been quite a while.

So Semester 1 of Year 3 flew past. It's the exam period once again. This semester really felt much busier with all the tests and projects. More of tests actually. And now that the exams are in less than a week's time, we're back in the 'Night Shift' mugging in the Central Library.

I hope to blog more next time.

My Preceptorship ended last week. It was a tiring yet fun 6 weeks. Except for the fact that we were paid $5 a day, the overall experience was great.

I will miss wearing the white coat to take photos. =X

I've clocked in 120 hours for my preceptorship already! Haha. I'm halfway through. :)

Life at the branch is still the same. Except maybe for the occasional visits to Centrepoint, fun lunches and straw folding, life's more or less the same over there. Haha.

On our 2nd week of work, we were joined by Siew Hia, Aveline's Pre-Reg Pharmacist. So the more, the merrier!

My 6-week long preceptorship started last week. I am working at Guardian at Tanglin Mall so if you guys are in the area, do drop by and say hi! :P

Work has been interesting, tiring, can get a bit boring but overall I think it's fun (so far at least).

After spending some time 'mugging' in the Central Library on a Sunday, it's quite amazing to see a lot of people actually coming down to study. Maybe it's because it's the exam period and also the real hot weather.

In any case, it's pretty interesting to observe people there. You will see (people running to get tables), hear (people burping and blowing their nose) and smell (perfumes and body odour =X) different things. It's like an all-round experience. LOL.

Hey guys. It's the recess week! But it's already Friday. :(

This recess week has been pretty much relaxed and nothing much happened. Except maybe the Oscars movies marathon last Saturday and me finally shifting all my stuff to PGP :)

I realised I watched quite a lot of movies recently:

1) The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with Shin (I loved the movie!)
2) He's Just Not That Into You with Muriel, Kuya Paul and Michael (Thanks Melvin for the tickets!)

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a Prosperous and Happy Chinese New Year! :)

This long weekend has been a blast so far. Haha!

Friday after school, my Filipino friends and I went out for dinner at Fish and Co. Glasshouse! Haha. The food was great. :)

Saturday was supposed to be for Pinoy Games (the annual Filipino Games Day for Filipino ASEAN scholars who came here since Sec 3) but I woke up late as I was really tired. In the afternoon, I had an impromptu meeting with Jason as I accompanied him to buy the watch he wanted. Too bad he was not able to find the one he liked, but we walked around Orchard, ate, talked and just basically walked around (and he shopped) before I met Ivan, Dhana and the rest for clubbing. Hehe.

Sunday evening was Chinese New Year Eve Reunion Dinner at Shin's house. It was real nice of her parents to invite me over and it was indeed quite the experience. After that, I met the other Filipino NUS peeps for KTV! Haha. We were singing until morning. It was really fun! :)

Chinese New Year Day 1 (Monday) evening was spent at Shin's house again! Haha. House visit! :P Naren, Terence, Wei Ting, Jasmeet, Alicia Khong, Wei Yann, Keith, Ivan (Shin's friend), Kah Kit and Nigel were there too! Haha. It was fun playing games and drinking. And this is where the main part of this blog post comes.

I guess I would say that I got drunk last night.

Yes, you heard that I right - I got drunk. =X

I thought I was only tipsy but when I was on the bus home just now, I realised I cannot remember certain things that I did. =S

Before we left Shin's place, I remember helping Ivan to clear up the stuff outside the house. After that, we left. But the thing is,

1) I cannot remember how I managed to put on my shoes.
2) I think I sent Ivan, Nigel and Kah Kit to the bus stop but I cannot really remember if I did.

What I remember is that I was walking to Tanah Merah MRT station to try to catch my last train. (I wonder how I did that too =X)

When I reached, I remember hearing that there was no more train service to Boon Lay. So I automatically withdrew money from the ATM. And I cannot remember how I managed to withdraw money but I did. I even have the receipt nicely folded in my wallet (I checked just now =X).

What I remember next is that I reached the taxi stand and waited for the cab. When I got into the cab, I remember saying 'Mohamed Sultan Road, Double O'. And then everything's rather in a blur. =X

1) I don't really remember much of the cab ride to Dbl O.
2) I don't know whether I was imagining things but what I can roughly remember was asking the cab driver to stop at the side nearer to the entrance of O bar.
3) This one's the best. I actually don't remember paying the cab driver the taxi fare. =S

I mean, I am sure I did pay him since he let me out of the cab but I really cannot remember doing so. I am also not sure how much I paid. =X

After that, the only thing I remember was queuing for O bar. I know I was the only one queuing that time. Haha. I also think that the guy did not even check my IC. But this time, I do remember paying for the cover charge. LOL.

Once I managed to meet the rest of them (Muriel, Kuya Paul, Michael, Joseph, Anna and Korina) inside, we danced the night away. And it was really hardcore. Haha. I guess the dancing helped in making me more sober. :P

So yeah. It was indeed an experience. Which I hope does not happen again because it is rather freaky. =X I am just glad that I managed to reach home safely. :)

I came back from my grandparents' house in Cavite, a province around 2.5 hours away from our place. Haha! Went there yesterday then slept over. It was quite nice since it was the first time I went there since they moved. Cute house. Haha! =)

When I reached home, I had to bid for LAB1201 - Bahasa Indonesia 1 and I am happy to say that I got it! Whee! (Sadly, I can't take Chinese 3 this semester. Sianzation)

At night, my sister asked me to fetch her from work and when I came back, we had sort of a 'Family Watching TV Bonding Time' LOL! It has been a looooooooooong time since we had everyone there watching TV together. Haha!

I had a good time talking, singing and just updating each other with our lives. But when we were singing songs I did not know, I was thinking how 'far' I have become from them. As in, there are certain things that I cannot relate to them anymore.

I guess I noticed it because I was not talking much. I was quite quiet during gatherings with my friends. Then I started thinking whether I was that quiet before. Or maybe I just talk much more when I am in Singapore. =X

Due to my absence, I felt a bit 'far' from some of them. But then I guess that's inevitable because firstly, we all live our owns lives already. Secondly is the distance. Although I am very very thankful for my friends who throughout the years have kept my friendship with them. :)

And yes, I was a choir boy in secondary school. Haha. In JC, I was a dance boy. ROFL.

Esplana Family Reunion 2009

On the 28th of December, we had our maternal side family reunion in Manila. Woke up early that day so that we can reach there on time. Hahaha. We had to make 'luwas' (right Mu? :P).

Unfortunately, my Dad had to work so he wasn't with us. :( But in any case, it was fun fun fun! Oh by the way, the theme this year was Red and White. So we all had to wear red and white. :)

We arrived at lunch time. :)

We then had the Annual KTV Singing Competition! LOL But this time we made it slightly different. ;)

Basically, the host will randomly press the numbers on the KTV machine so there's a high chance that the contestant will not know the song! Haha. And the judging was based on the KTV machine itself. The grade that the machine gives will be the grade that the contestant gets. Haha. So the highest grade wins! :)

The contest has started. And really, we all did not know the songs that were picked =X

I did not know the song so I was really just trying to follow the tune. But guess what, I got 94 and was the highest so I won. ROFL =X

It was really funny hearing all of us sing some weird songs that came out. Hahaha.

Hey hey hey! Haha.

It's been a while. I have been very very lazy to update. It has been almost 2 weeks since I've been back home and I haven't exactly done much except slack, sleep, eat and become fat. LOL.

Anyway, the most exciting thing I've done so far since I came back was my Boracay Trip last week! =) Boracay is one of the most famous (if not THE most famous) island resorts in the Philippines. It was a rather unplanned but it was great! Haha.

On 8 Dec, my 2nd sister came home after work telling us that she was asked by her company to be a reliever at their Boracay branch. Since her boyfriend can't accompany her due to work, she asked me to book plane tickets for the trip! Whee! Haha. But it was rather rushed because we had to fly to Boracay on 10 Dec! So we were busy looking for available plane tickets. The next day, I was busy booking plane tickets for the trip and then packed for the early morning flight.

Day 1

I didn't sleep that night because we had to leave the house at 2am so that we'll reach the airport in Manila by around 4am. My sister's flight was at NAIA Terminal 3 while mine was at the domestic airport. It was my first time taking a domestic flight and it was real short! It was around 45 minutes. There were only 7 of us in the plane and 1 flight attendant. LOL

I reached the Caticlan Airport earlier than my sister (as she took a different flight) so I waited for her. Took a tricycle (local transport) ride to the port, a short 10-15 minute motor boat ride to Boracay island and voila! We have reached. :)

After checking into the hotel (which was not bad because the room was quite nice and was near the beach), my sister had to report for work while I was left in the room. I was watching TV until I fell asleep for a short while. Haha. She then smsed me to meet her up for lunch. :)

Oh, when I was walking alone, one guy mistook me for a foreigner. =X He was asking me to go for island tour and snorkeling and he was talking to me in English! LOL. I then pretended to be one and talked to him in English too. :P It was quite funny but I thought it was quite nice because he was really courteous and it shows how friendly they are. And he tried his best to speak in English. Haha. Quite funny. =S

After swimming, I went back to the hotel, washed up then waited for my sister to end work. We then walked around the shops and had dinner! :)

Day 2

Another reason why we wanted to sleep early was so that we can wake up early to swim before my sister heads on for work. However, when we woke up at 6am, it was dark outside and it seemed like it was going to rain. It did drizzle and we decided to just continue sleeping. LOL. Such pigs eh? :P

When my sister left for work, I continued sleeping and when I woke up, I watched TV again. Haha. Wasted my morning in the hotel room and my sister SMSed telling me that she wants to have lunch at the hotel. So she brought back food and we ate there instead. Haha.

After lunch, I sent her to her workplace and then went for my 2nd day of walking around the shore and exploring Boracay. But sadly, alone again. =X

After that, we walked around the bars and night spots but we had to take the main road because the waves already reached the shops so we had no way of walking by the shore. =S We just walked around because there weren't many people so we weren't really enticed on chilling out. =S We decided to go back to the hotel room, watch some shows and sleep! We already planned on waking up early the next day to take photos by hook or by crook. LOL.

Day 3

Woke up at 6 am and walked by the beach. It was still a bit dark (looked like it's going to rain) but we just went on as my sister wanted to take photos at the grotto. LOL.

My sister then prepared for work while I stayed at the hotel room watching Shrek The Third and Meet the Spartans on my laptop. LOL. I was too lazy to get out. =X I then met her for lunch and took photos with the sandcastle!

After lunch was the usual stuff, swam as long as I liked too get sunburnt. LOL. But still, I was not as tanned as I expected to be. =S After dinner, we walked around again (for the last time) and then packed our bags for our early flight the next day.

Day 4

I realised we did not take photos on this day. ROFL.

We woke up at 4am, left the hotel, went to the port and took the 1st boat ride back to Caticlan. The moon was still up. Haha. When we reached, we took a tricycle again to Caticlan Airport.

The airport was still closed when we reached. LOL. So we had to wait a while before we managed to check in. Had breakfast and waited for our flights. We took different flights again but this time, same airport to land at. Haha. I reached Manila earlier so I waited for her there. The NAIA Terminal 3 is not bad actually. =)

It was already 12noon when we reached our home in Lipa City, Batangas. Haha. It was truly a vacation. Although I did not do much, I still enjoyed it. I had a lot of alone time and emo-ing time. HAHAHAHA. Nah, not really emo-ing. More like, thinking. ;)

Anyway, this has been really long! I took sooooooooooo bloody long just to upload the photos. LOL. I wonder when I'm going to do another entry. But do stay tuned! Haha. =)

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! Haha.

Oh well. What an early one that is. :P

The exams are over!!!! (Since 3 days ago) and it's now just fun fun and more fun! Wheeeeeeee!

Anyway, I was tagged by Muriel to share 10 Random Things about me so here we go:

Random Thing No. 1:

I have not eaten bao (of any type) , durian (the fruit itself), eggplant (the veggie) yong tau foo and a lot of other local Singaporean or Chinese food. I think I am quite a picky eater. =X

Random Thing No. 2:

I can listen to my current favourite songs on repeat over and over and over and over again. And I think that contributes to why I easily get over some songs after I get of hearing them. =X

Random Thing No. 3:

I like to sing when I am walking home (provided no one else is walking behind or in front of me). Hehe.

Random Thing No. 4:

I like to dance when I am inside a lift (especially my block's one) LOL. I can just dance to the tune on my MP3 whenever I am alone on the lift. Hee! But actually, I can literally bob my head or make small dance moves everywhere - at the bus stop while waiting for the bus, on the bus, etc. :P

Random Thing No. 5:

On my way to school, I alight and change to bus 151 at the bus stop before Ngee Ann Poly. The reason? I don't want the people on the bus to think that I am a Ngee Ann Poly student. =X

Random Thing No. 6:

I've never been to the Zoo all my life. (I've been to the Singapore Night Safari but I don't count it as a Zoo) =S

Random Thing No. 7:

When I was young, I loved collecting medals (and they're mostly academically related. Not sports awards). =X (OMG, so nerdy right??)

Random Thing No. 8:

I used to have a super geeky, super 'obiang' SNOOPY brand specs. I wore it during my Secondary School Days =X (Right MU? WAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Random Thing No. 9:

I always bring an umbrella and a rosary inside my bag. Unless I forget my umbrella after using it the day before, or I use a different bag but most of the time, I have both with me. ;)

Random Thing No. 10:

I love mayonnaise with my fries! The record I have so far is I used 5 McDonalds Mayonnaise for 1 Large Fries. Hehe. AND! I hate pickles and I am not a huge fan of cucumbers. =X (I'm very unhealthy one)

OK. So that's my 10 Random Things. Haha.

Time flies really damn fast! Today, I celebrate 6 years since the first time I stepped onto Singapore soil. Haha. I don't even feel that it has been that long.

And it's already November! Exams coming. Sian.
