MRT1101E - Taking the MRT

Ok. I shall take a break for a short update first. :)

I had my first paper yesterday. I am so glad SSA2207 is over!!! 1 down, 3 more to go! =X

I went for tuition again today. I think I am getting the hang of it. Haha. After that was dinner at Shin's place again. Her mom's Hor Fun was good! ;)

Anyway, the main point of this entry is actually what happened in the MRT to and fro Tanah Merah. Haha. Very interesting.

To: I was reading through my Endocrine Physiology notes (Yes, I was actually mugging on the train! :P) and then when I reached around Bukit Batok, I heard some guy singing loudly. I was initially unnerved but the loudness made me more curious so I looked around. I saw this old bald uncle (maybe around late 30s early 40s) wearing a black tee and berms with a white bandana tied on his forehead like a halo (I don't know how to describe =X). LOL He was actually moving and dancing while singing some clubbing songs. =S Remix of the song some more! Hahahaha :P It was quite funny and I saw the people giving him weird stares. But he did not care and he was facing the door while dancing. Haha.

The same thing happened when we changed train at Jurong East. I think I saw some teenage guy taking a video of him. =X I salute him man. He's even more throw face than me. HAHAHAHAHA! He continued 'clubbing' until he alighted some where. I was busy reading my notes. :P

Fro: When I was reading my notes again, a family of four boarded the train. It was the mom, the dad and 2 young girls. The younger one sat beside me. She wanted her mom to read her the story book. The mom did. After reading, she wanted to read another one and the mom said, 'I'm not going to read it to you. You read yourself.' =.=''' So the poor little girl started to read. And to think that she can't read yet! Hahaha. She was reading something about a cat. But because the previous book her mom read to her was about Mothers' Day, she started reading the book as if the story is about the Cat's Birthday! =X It was damn funny because she was making up her own story. Hahaha. And was pretending to know how to read. Haha. Damn cute! Then when she finished, her mom asked her to read a chinese book about animals. Real cute! :)

FM1531 - Mugging Failure

Ok. I know I should be mugging now but yeah, breaks have been spent watching videos on Youtube and listening to songs which make me dance (think RnS Show). I have been webcasting for LSM for the past few days. I think that's a form of progress. Haha. First paper on Saturday. Sian. =X

Anyway, since I am waiting for the many many many many many camwhoring photos from Muriel which we took last Saturday, I shall just post this song that I am currently addicted to. Hee.

SSC1804 - Last Day of School-ogy

Ok. I know, not a very interesting module code. Haha. I just cannot think of any right now. =X

So yesterday was the last day of school. It was pretty surreal because it did not felt like a last day of school. Haha. So anyway, this last week of school was pretty much about my Scrapbook Assignment which I hope would do much better than my essay. Sigh. That Essay. Sigh. :(

So I actually stayed up the whole of Wednesday night just to finish up on my 18 article commentaries for SSA2207 - Politics in Southeast Asia module and I nicely edited it to make it look at least presentable. I only finished doing so at 8am the next day so I just decided to stay up and not sleep because if I do, I think I would not be there for the lecture at 2pm. =X

Anyway, I finally handed it in, attended my last lecture for that module and got back my Essay. Sigh. Not good. Pretty depressing actually. I was thinking about it until yesterday. Sigh. But nevermind, what's done's done. Haha. Life goes on. :) And the only consolation I have is as long as I pass this module, if my grades are not good, I always have the S/U option. :P

So on Thursday, after my lecture, I met Muriel at the Central Library to study for our last Chinese Quiz which was worth 10% of our grade. We ended up eating (like really picnicking inside the library) and after that, I ended up in slumber land. What a pig! Haha. I actually slept because I was too tired. After a while, I woke up and decided to call it a day and go home. I reached home, washed up, checked in online and then by around 9pm, I knocked off already. Haha.

The next time I woke up was already 1045am! Shiok! Haha. But then I was still too sleep to get up and then decided to grab some more sleep. Hee! I then got out of bed at around 12noon, had lunch, studied for my Chinese Quiz (more like memorising the characters) and then went off to school.

Muriel and I attended our last LAC1201 tutorial. We had our last Quiz as well which was pretty much ok. :) Overall, Chinese 1 was my most enjoyable module this semester, and maybe the most enjoyable so far I have had in NUS. Haha. It was fun taking it with Muriel of course! All the nose-bleeding Chinese sentences that the teachers will blurt out, all the rushing for lessons, all the craziness in class (i.e. laughing among ourselves about the smallest of things), all the bitching about other classmates (HAHAHAHA! :P It pays to have a language which very few people in Singapore understand! Hahaha), all the fun learning Chinese. It was a challenge especially the oral part but it was really fun learning the language. At least now, I do know basic Chinese! Haha :D

As what Muriel wrote in her blog, I also think that our classmates (both Lecture and Tutorial) think that we are either:

1) Mad
2) Crazy
3) Abnormal
4) All of the Above

Hahaha! I agree! LOL But heck! We're having fun so I guess that's more important! Haha :P I would really want to extend my big THANKS and gratitude to Ms. Muriel Opiano Amable for making Chinese lessons enjoyable! Haha. From the comparing of results (HEHEHE - Eh, I get hit pretty hard for that eh! Haha) to comparing which one has done more exercises (Another one whereby I would either get hit real bad or Muriel will say 'Ang yabang talaga nito!' which means 'You're really very boastful' (can't think of any other word hehe) so yeah), to doing nothing but Chinese when studying in the library. Haha. It was really really really fun taking the module with you! Haha :) I hope you would take Chinese 2 too! :P Although I am quite set on taking it, I guess it would depend mainly on my timetable next semester. =S

So that means, 1 MODULE DOWN! 4 MORE TO GO! HAHA ;D

But that also means I would have to start mugging really hard because if not, I will do badly. Sigh. God help me.

Speaking of which, Muriel and I went for the Exam and Graduation Mass after our lesson. It is normally the time when there will be a lot more students than usual. Haha. All 'desperate for divine intercession' LOL. After the mass, they had some short video for those who were graduating this semester and had dinner! :) I love free stuff. Hee.

After dinner, we took the same shuttle bus and then I went home. Since Muriel brought her handy dandy camera, we decided to take some shots before her camera dies due to lack of battery. Haha.

Hee! We depended on the lights outside at first before we remembered that we can try to on the lights on the bus :P Like those that you have in airplane cabins! Haha. I did not know that the ones on the NUS shuttle buses actually work. Now we know! :P

Alright, to end of this entry, I promised myself that I would be mugging real hard already. As in, I really have not much time to study all that I need. Sigh. Help me God. And wish me luck! Haha.

CB1102E - Essentials of Clubbing 2

It has been quite a while since I blogged. Quite a number of things happened. Last weekend, I gave tuition again and then for the Sunday dinner, we had a Tuscan themed dinner at Shin's house. She made some pasta which was nice! Haha. Had red wine and then some cocktails, started clubbing at her garden again but this time we did not get drunk lah. Hee hee.

The past week was rather hectic for me. I had to hand in a 30% Essay project for my SSA2207. The submission was Thursday. Luckily I finished on time. Haha. Quite satisfied but I am not sure how I will fare. Oh well.

And then the next day was full of Chinese. Like seriously. Haha. I had a Chinese Test, a Chinese Quiz and my Chinese Speech all in one day! Haha. The test was horribly difficult, the quiz was fine and the speech went well. Haha. I actually sang a song to end my speech! In Chinese of course! :P Last Quiz this coming Friday and I am finally done with one of my modules! :)

However, Friday night was still not a night for celebration as I had to rush my LSM1401 assignment which was due on Saturday 12nn. So I stayed up to do it and I think I slept very late (i.e. very early in the morning). That night, Shin invited me to go clubbing with her the next day. I was pretty hesitant as the exams are coming. However, she managed to convince me because it was a FREE ENTRY (I only go when I can go in for free), it is an exclusive party from 8-10pm (for guests only which includes us! :P) and from 8-10pm, there was a FREE FLOW OF HOUSEPOUR!!! :) I love free stuff. Haha. Oh and I almost forgot, it was a COSTUME PARTY! Haha. So yeah, I was very tempted and succumbed to it by saying yes to Shin and accompanying her as one of her friends' guest. :D

And so the next day (Saturday), we met at her place and prepared. I was supposed to be a dressed as a doctor as Shin rented a Sexy Hot Nurse costume. However, Shin's friend was unable to get Scrub suits so I just had to settle for a costume which I used for dance when I was in JC 2. It was originally the workers' overalls (imagine those working in factories or construction sites) but I did some cutting here and there to make it look cooler. Haha. And so, we made our way to The Butterfactory for its 2nd Birthday! (I think) Haha :)

It was really fun because we had the free flow of drinks. So early in the evening, we were quite high already. So we started dancing. We totally danced the night away. Haha. Danced with some strangers which were really cool and fun! :)

We danced until our legs ached. Haha. We only left when the club closed at 4am. (We danced from 9.30pm until 4am!!!) When we reached Shin's house, we were damn hungry so we ate some food and some soup. We were damn full after that. After washing up, we slept and took some rest. I think I only managed to sleep at around 7am. =X

However we had to wake up at 11am as Shin has to give tuition. We then went to their tuition centre only to find that the student did not turn up. Sian. Haha. So we just headed back to her house, had lunch, slacked for a while before I went for my tuition. :)

After tuition, I went to back to her place and had dinner. This week is Chinese theme prepared by Shin's mom. It was some Chinese noodle dish and we had white wine with it. Yum! :) After dinner, no clubbing this week (need to detox HAHAHA) and we just went to her room to slack and do whatever we want. (We are supposed to be studying already! Help!)

We talked and chatted and started to cam whore using my laptop's camera again. =X

So that pretty much sums up my weekend which has been another memorable one. :)

My legs are aching now though. Hahaha. Anyway, I really need to start studying and doing my scrapbook. Scrapbook deadline's on Thursday. Sian. =X

MG1102 - Mugging Practice 2

I look like I am mugging but actually, I think I was SMSing. :P

On Wednesday, I asked Muriel to stay back in school to study with me. We then decided to have dinner at the Business School first and then stay at the Canteen to 'study'. Haha.

I was actually deciding on which topic to choose for my SSA2207 Essay which is due next week. Damn. I have not started on it yet. Somebody save me!!! =X

While we were busy doing our work, the lights and the fans suddenly switched off. We thought that it was an automatic shut off thing but apparently, it is not. The lights were switching on and off so we just decided to move to the benches near the canteen. Once we transferred, it was already 9pm and it was time for our favourite Chinese show. Hee. Trying to improve on our Chinese. :P
